This evening on WYFF4 (SC Upstate news provider) the following clip and article were broadcast. The woman in the news report matches exactly the description of the one canvasing our neighborhood all week. The only difference is she has changed her name and says she is part of a college study rather than the local school district. http://www.wyff4.com/news/28533729/detail.html#.Th4bMwxjtFg
Thank you to all who came out our bi-annual Rummage Sale and the Pancake Supper this week. You helped raise a lot of money for the Child Development Center's scholarship fund!

Hey, everyone! The PPCDC Rummage Sale was HUGE success! There's now $2011.60 more in the playground pot so now we can give the kids a fabulous new playground! Wooohoooo!! Perhaps the new equipment will keep the munchkins occupied so they no longer make dirt angels and dig holes. We can only hope... A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported this event by donating items, buying items and/or volunteering to help!!
Tomorrow's Rummage Sale has already made over $800 from pre-sales! How cool is THAT?! The playground equipment this money will buy will make many, many children smile and giggle for years to come. Thank you!!
Thank you to everyone who came to the pancake supper. Over $616 was raised to go toward the new playground equipment. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now comes the Rummage Sale this Saturday at 7:00am-11:00am, to continue to raise money for this playground equipment. From what I saw in the Fellowship Hall last night, this is going to be one doozy of a rummage sale! Come check out the great stuff!
Another upcoming event is the 2009 Rummage Sale on Saturday, February 28th, 7:00am - 11:00am! Donate your unwanted, useful stuff between February 24th and February 27th (no adult clothing and books, please). Then join us for lots of baby/toddler stuff and a lot more household items. Again, this is to benefit the PPCDC to raise money for the playground equipment. Remember: another person's trash is another person's treasure!
Come join us for the 2009 Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper to help raise money for the new playground equipment! Tuesday, February 24th, 5:30-6:30pm. Call 796.0492 for more info. There will be sausage, eggs and fruit, too!
